More than just a betting platform, million888 is a community — a place where Malaysian players come together to compete, connect, and enjoy premium digital entertainment in a safe and fair environment.
The million888 story began with a simple but meaningful observation — many Malaysians who enjoyed following sports and casino games didn't have a platform that truly understood their needs as local users. The international platforms available at the time were impressive in scale and sophistication, but they lacked an understanding of the Malaysian context — the language spoken, local payment methods, preferred sports, or a playing environment that resonated with the local culture.
Against that backdrop, million888 was founded in 2018 by a group of Malaysian tech entrepreneurs who shared a common vision: to build a digital entertainment platform that was truly for and by Malaysians. Not a platform crudely translated from a foreign language, but one built from the ground up with a deep understanding of who our users are, what they want, and how they like to interact with technology.
The first year was filled with challenges. A founding team of 12 worked tirelessly to build the technical infrastructure, secure the necessary operating licences, and — most importantly — listen to feedback from the early users who joined the platform. Every suggestion, every piece of criticism, and every word of encouragement became our guide to keep improving.
By 2020, million888 had grown to over 50,000 registered members, becoming one of the most talked-about platforms among Malaysia's sports and online casino communities. The COVID-19 pandemic that year proved to be a turning point for us — as people stayed home and demand for digital entertainment surged, million888 was ready to meet that demand at scale.
Today, million888 has grown into Malaysia's leading digital entertainment platform, with over 200,000 active members, more than 50 game types, and sports coverage spanning the Malaysia Super League, EPL, BWF badminton, ICC cricket, e-sports, and much more. But what we're most proud of isn't these numbers — it's the trust placed in us by every player who chooses million888 as their entertainment platform.
We keep growing. We keep listening. And we won't stop striving to deliver the best experience for our ever-expanding community across Malaysia — from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Bharu, from Johor Bahru to Kota Kinabalu.
